How do I access Echo360? Echo360 can be accessed through all web browsers and mobile devices, as long as they have an internet connection. The best way to ensure the highest quality of sound, though, is through the browser on your PC or Mac computer, which has the ability to use both microphone input and speakers. Follow these steps below to access Echo360 using your computer’s microphone and speakers. Entering the Course in Canvas
As a student, you may need to login to your Canvas course. Accessing your Echo 360 account is easy! Here’s how:
Step 1) Log in to the VT Campus Network Step 2) Click on Canvas Step 3) Click on Sign In (This will open up a new window) Step 4) Click on Sign In with Google or Facebook (or create a new account through this link if you don’t have one already).
5) Select your VT email address and password. Step 6) Enter your birthdate and gender. Step 7) Check the box next to the statement saying you understand the conditions of use, then click Sign Me Up.
Logging in with your Institution Account
To log in, click on the Log In button at the top of the page.
You will be asked to enter your log-in credentials and click Log In.
If you have not yet created an account, you will need to fill out some basic information.
After successfully logging in, you will be redirected to your personal dashboard. This is where you can see all of the courses that are assigned to you or that you’ve enrolled in.
On this dashboard, there is a tab for courses. From here, you can add or remove courses and enroll yourself for future semesters.
Creating an Echo360 Personal Account
To create an account, first select Create Account on the right side of the homepage. You will be redirected to a registration page with a list of different ways to sign up. To create a new account, click New User. On this page, you will be asked to fill in your email address and password. After entering these two fields, select whether you want to use your email address or username as your username (i.e., if you have ever used Facebook or Twitter). If you don’t want to use either of these options, type in a username that is not currently being used by another person. Next, enter a unique password for your account and confirm it by typing it again in the box below.
Linking your Personal and Institution Accounts
Log in with your personal account information. If you forgot your password, click on the Forgot Password link and follow the instructions to reset it. Log in with your institution account information. The system will automatically log you in. If this does not work, check that your institution is listed as an organization administrator for the course by clicking on Organization Administering Courses from the course navigation pane (i.e., Banner).
Press Authorize when prompted for access to campus resources and then log out of your account when finished accessing Echo360 from this computer.
The next time you want to use Echo360 from another computer, use a different browser (e.g., Firefox), login with your institution account information (not personal) and press Authorize when prompted for access to campus resources.
Enrolling in a Class
Navigate to Classes. You can either search for the class or you can find it by browsing. When you find the class you want to enroll in, navigate to it and hover your mouse over it. In the pop-up window, click on Enroll at the bottom left corner of the screen. Click on Add To Cart and then click on Pay for Course. For paying, select PayPal (Student), Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express as your payment option and follow their steps through payment completion.
Accessing a Class
Log in to your course and click on the Classes tab. You should see all of the classes you have enrolled in at the top, along with a list of upcoming and past classes below them. The list shows which classes are open for viewing and which are closed to viewing. Click on one of the open classes and you’ll be able to watch it.
