One concern people might have is whether or not Google uses this data to personalize ads or if they share it with third parties. While you can’t control what information is collected on your own, you can use certain features on the Play Store console (for example, adjusting ad settings) to change how ads are displayed.

We collect information you provide such as when you create a Play Console account, use our services or when you purchase items. also collect information from your device such as what apps you use and how often. We may combine this information with other data we have collected from your device. For example, we might look at the apps you have on your device and compare that list with the list of services you have registered for in the Play Console in order to recognize which services are installed on your phone or tablet.

We take precautions designed to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. We encrypt the transmission of personal data from your computer or device by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. To process an order, we will ask for credit card details when appropriate and then transmit that information back in encrypted form as soon as the order is completed. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also follow other security procedures to protect this same sensitive information off-line. For example, in our store location, only employees who need access have access to customer personal data and they are subject to strict confidentiality agreements.
How can you access and update your information?
To access your information, you can head over to the Google Play store console and log into your account there. From there, you’ll be able to see a list of all of the devices that are linked with your account. Next to each device is an option for Manage this device. Clicking on this will take you through a step-by-step process of how to unlink and delete your information from the device. If you would like to update any information or simply want more control over what Google has stored about you, click on Manage My Account in the header and then Account Preferences. Here, you can view and edit all of your information stored by Google and even opt out of certain pieces (if desired).
How long do we keep this information?
We keep your information as long as you use Google Play. delete your information once you’ve stopped using our service.
We may retain some of your information in order to satisfy our legal obligations, or because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. If we do this, we’ll stop retaining it when the reason for the retention no longer applies. For example, if you were involved in a product support incident and we needed to contact you about it afterwards, we might retain your email address for a limited time after the incident closed so that we can send you a message about the resolution (or lack thereof).
