Find Out How DePaul University is Embracing AI Technology Artificial intelligence has reached an interesting point in our technological development, where everyone seems to be talking about it – sometimes regardless of whether or not they understand what it means. Whether you’re interested in the field as an academic exercise or as part of your career, DePaul University offers an MS Artificial Intelligence program that gives students the education they need to succeed today and tomorrow. Here’s how it works.

Introducing DePaul University

DePaul University is a private, coeducational and nonsectarian university in Chicago, Illinois.

Founded in 1898 as a college for women, it has become an exclusively undergraduate institution since 1892.

It offers bachelor’s degrees in over 100 areas of study in both liberal arts and professional programs.

DePaul’s College of Computing & Digital Media (CDM) offers a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence with three concentrations: machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing.

The MS program will provide a foundation in computer science fundamentals as well as specialized topics drawn from its various concentrations to prepare graduates for careers or advanced studies in artificial intelligence applications.

Students can choose from three concentration options: machine learning, computer vision, or natural language processing. Students must also complete the prerequisites that apply to their chosen concentration before enrolling in CDM courses.

The minimum requirement for this master’s degree is the equivalent of a four-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution with at least thirty hours of undergraduate coursework in computer science,

engineering or related fields; completion of general education requirements; satisfactory completion of standardized exams such as the GRE and TOEFL;

Or any other evidence deemed appropriate by the admissions committee (i.e., portfolio, interview).

The School of Computing and Digital Media

DePaul University’s School of Computing and Digital Media has been a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) research since its inception.

The Computer Science Department was founded by computer pioneer Seymour Papert,

who was one of the first people to develop a programming language for children, and who also invented the Logo with Alan Kay?

The Computer Science Department has an extensive program in Artificial Intelligence that is taught at all levels:

undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D.

Our curriculum includes courses in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computational Linguistics among others.

We are committed to providing our students with the best education possible so that they can be prepared for jobs in Artificial Intelligence or any other field they choose to pursue.

To this end, we have introduced two new courses on Artificial Intelligence for upper-level undergraduates.

One of these courses will introduce several frameworks used in machine learning and how each framework works;

the other course will provide a brief introduction to recent developments in deep neural networks and some potential applications thereof.

These two new courses reflect how important it is for today’s students to know modern machine learning methods such as deep neural networks,

As well as practical skills in using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2 or PyTorch.

The Department of Computer Science

DePaul University’s Department of Computer Science (CS) has been embracing artificial intelligence technology for years, with the first course on AI being offered in 1995. CS offers both an undergraduate degree and a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, as well as a Ph.D. program in Artificial Intelligence. The department also offers courses on machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and computational creativity. With so much knowledge available to students, it’s no surprise that many graduates go on to have successful careers at companies like Google, IBM, and Microsoft. 20 percent of Fortune 500 companies employ alumni from this university’s AI programs. One alumna from the MSAI Program, Kyriakos Mouratidis, is currently working at IBM Watson Health as a data scientist. His previous experience includes internships with GE Healthcare, Interset, and UCSD Cancer Center before coming to IBM Watson Health. I’m excited about what I do every day, says Kyriakos Mouratidis

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been around for decades, but only recently has it taken off in the business world. It’s not hard to see why: AI offers several benefits that businesses can’t afford to ignore. But before you invest time and resources in an AI program, make sure you know what you’re getting into. You may also want to consider taking a master’s degree in artificial intelligence from DePaul University so that your team will be trained with the latest knowledge and methods for developing successful AI applications.

Conclusion

DePaul’s Artificial Intelligence program offers a range of courses on topics such as machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics. Recently, the university has been implementing AI technology in many aspects of its academic life. For example, Blackboard Inc., an education technology company that provides academic software for universities to manage online coursework and scheduling, has partnered with DePaul’s Teaching & Learning Center to create a new product called Blackboard Connect. The company will be using artificial intelligence to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses to personalize their educational experience.
DePaul University also has a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence degree program where students can learn more about how computers are becoming increasingly intelligent through techniques such as machine learning and neural networks.
